Developed creative from billboards to paid social ads to bring awareness and drive season pass sales to both parks in the Houston and Austin areas.
Typhoon Texas is a waterpark with locations in Katy, Texas and Pflugerville, Texas. The Katy location was built from scratch on an empty lot, while the Pflugerville location was acquired from a previously Hawaiian-themed waterpark. The goals were to bring awareness to the parks by aligning the messaging and branding, while also pushing for residents to purchase season passes.
For the first part of our goal, our resolution was to take inspiration from the park’s catch-phrase “Good. Clean. Fun.”, and all the different colors used on the attractions across the park. New photography emphasizing the fun, a bright new colorful color palette, friendly font, and the musing headlines combined to make a great new campaign for the two parks. Piggybacking off our new new look, we put up billboards across Houston and Austin to draw attention to the new and renovated waterparks in town. We also ran social media ads to direct viewers to purchase season passes. The results were impressive. Both parks saw an huge uptick in season passes sold, and attendance in the parks from the previous year!
